Welcome to The Helping Hands Walk-A-Thon. We hope that you, your family and friends can join us in raising money for the local pediatric hospice, Hope's Friends. The Helping Hands Walk-A-Thon is a fun-filled event that welcomes adults and children of all ages!

The Walk-A-Thon will be taking place at St. Charles East High School outdoor track from 8a.m. until noon on Sunday, August 9. Children, family members and friends will walk or jog outside around the track during these times. Strollers, wagons and tricycles are welcome for children under the age of 4. Family members and friends are encouraged to come cheer on the walkers or even join them in the walk if they wish. We ask the participants to collect pledges from sponsors such as family members, friends, neighbors and businesses. Pledges may be made on a per lap basis or as a flat donation. Concession will be available filled with hot dogs and drinks. Prizes, such as a bicycles and gaming systems, will be raffled off at the end of the event. Raffles tickets will be given out to walkers for every 20 dollars that they raise; they will also be available to purchase. Everyone who registers will be given a Helping Hands T-shirt. This is a great way to spend time with the family and teach kids how to help others.

The Helping Hands Walk-A-Thon will be helping children at Hope’s Friends. Hope’s Friends help young patients and their families live every day as fully as possible while remaining in their home environment. By enabling young patients to remain in their home, Hope’s Friends helps to strengthen the family to improve the quality and quantity of their time together.
